Our Dispensary has been serving the community at Kalapet. Every month on an average of 700 patients from local villages avail the benefit.
The Dispensary serves patients free of cost in large number. The Dispensary is equipped with all latest equipment which includes X-ray, ECG and Lab. We are arranging medical camps periodically focussing on the current health requirements of the community.
Conducted at our dispensary. Eminent dermatologists from Chennai screened the patients for skin related issues. Camp included Screening, analysing, counselling and issuance of appropriate drugs to patients.
To bring affordable eye care to the community and to reduce the blindness caused by Cataract an Eye Camp was conducted. The camp was organized in collaboration with Arvind Eye Hospital. Camp included Screening, analysing eye defects, counselling for surgery and issuance of Spectacles.
We donated “Blood Component Separation equipment” to Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Puducherry. This was inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Puducherry, Mr Rangaswamy.
We have Installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants at six villages to provide clean and safe drinking water. We have supported Government Schools in Kalapet in refurbishing RO plants.
Additional to the above, other programs like an awareness on Sanitation for school children was done at Government Boys Higher Secondary school at Kalapet.
We are conducting workshops for students who are undergoing competitive exams in X & XII Std. students. The objective of this program is to prepare students to overcome the fear of exams and face the exams successfully.
Educational Specialists and Education Dept. gave them tips for facing the exams. Every year, nearly 300 students were benefitted from this program.
Was conducted for students of IX Std at Government Boys and Girls school in Kalapet. Around 255 students were trained under this program. The skill training program was extended to teachers also. Around approximately 40 teachers gained inputs from this program.
In addition to this we have student counselling programme. The purpose of this program is to empower students in academic, career, personal and social development.
We have started this programme in partnership with Swami Vivekananda Rural Community College (SVRCC). 100 scholarships are offered to eligible candidates from amongst the local villages.
Out of the 100 students of 1st batch 97 students have got employment. 2nd batch of 100 is undergoing training. Several job lead courses are offered as a part of this program, and students are assessed and counselled based on their aptitude.
